Clearing the Path to a Coaching Presence 

 
In Clearing the Path to a Coaching Presence, participants will learn NICE!, a distraction-management technique to help coaches manage self-doubt, worry, advice-giving, impatience, and other distracting thoughts and tendencies that rob them of a client-centered presence. Based on the core competency: Maintains Presence, NICE! incorporates tools from Internal Family Systems (IFS) “Parts Work” and mindfulness, to enable the coach to seamlessly refocus their full attention on the client, elevating the coaching experience. 

Learning Objectives:
How to recognize when coach becomes distracted
How to shift from distracted to client-focused without disruption
When/how to be transparent when the coach is unable to regain presence


Competencies addressed:  Cultivates Trust and Safety, Maintains Presence, Listens Actively

Participants will earn .75 Core Competency and .75 Resource development CCEs for attending this program.


Meet the Speaker Lynda Mettler, ACC

Lynda Mettler, ACC, is an IFS informed coach and Reiki master who runs individual and group coaching sessions, and regularly presents on her coaching methods. 
 
Lynda spent the first half of her life building a career in marketing and advertising, while asking the question, “What am I meant to do?” By age 50, after countless books, classes, and volunteering in pursuit of the answer, she became discouraged that answer would never reveal itself.
 
Then in 2019, she discovered transformation coaching based in Internal Family Systems (IFS). IFS brought profound healing, and opened a path to profound fulfillment.

Soon after, Lynda abandoned her career and launched Channeling Your Wisdom Coaching; she has facilitated transformations in countless clients ever since.
